Michael and Jennifer Lilintahl are the proud owners of SafeSplash Swim School Friendship Heights, Columbia Heights and Rockville Pike. They opened their first swim school in 2017 and are honored to be part of the swimming journey for thousands of local families. Michael started swimming at the age of 5, went to college on a full swimming scholarship, and represented his native Venezuela in the 1996 Olympics. Jennifer learned to swim before she learned to walk and started swimming competitively at the age of 5. Jennifer worked for many years in politics, including on the Hill and in the White House. Michael and Jennifer live in Montgomery County and are the parents of two young daughters, Anabel and Sasha, who you will often see joining them at the pool and in lessons.

Dany Fleming, Manager
Dany Fleming is our Manager at SafeSplash Swim School Columbia Heights. With 17 years of combined experience in aquatics and early childhood education, Dany holds certifications as an Ellis and Associates Lifeguard and Certified Pool Operator. Dany is excited to work with your swimmer(s) and to provide the support you need for a safe and enjoyable swim lesson experience.
OUR STAFF
My favorite aspect of working at SafeSplash is fostering water safety and confidence in our young swimmers. I've been a part of the SafeSplash team for 1 year and was inspired to become a swim instructor by my passion for open water freediving and swim education.
I teach class every day to all age groups and skill levels.
I incorporate engaging activities and effective techniques to ensure our lessons are both educational and enjoyable for our students.
