Janey Dufauchard, Operations Manager
I joined the SwimLabs front desk team in 2016, after bringing my sons here for Competitive Video Analysis lessons. Prior to being a mom, I was a kindergarten teacher. My favorite part of coming to work every day is the interaction with the littles who are learning to swim, the competitive swimmers who are trying to make zones cuts and improve their times, and the adults who are furthering a life skill!
OUR STAFF
Swimming has been a big part of my life – I grew up in the Littleton area swimming at both the summer club level as well as competitively. I started swimming competitively around the age of 12 and swam for Foothills Swim Team excelling in both butterfly and breaststroke events. I lifeguarded and taught swim lessons throughout high school and college. I swam two years at a D1 college (Tulane University) before quitting in order to focus on my academics. I hung up my suit for several years while I started a family. My three children all swam competitively for many years and now that they are grown and in college, I miss being around the pool all of the time. This is why I choose to work at SwimLabs! I also currently work as a statistician at Denver Health full time.
Alex has been coaching swimming since 2009 where he started with his
summer league team. In 2013, he started coaching club swimming for the
YMCA of Columbia Swim Club, where he worked with all group levels from
beginner swimmers to National-level competitors. He also helped start a local
Masters program for the YMCA, the Soda City Swarm. During his time in
Columbia, he taught group and private lessons to swimmers of all ages and
abilities.
Alex is a swim nerd in and out of the pool, enjoying learning, talking, and
applying new techniques in the sport. He believes in teaching the core
foundations of each stroke but is most intrigued by figuring out what works
best for each swimmer! Outside of swimming, Alex likes anything related to
fitness and other sports. He played lacrosse throughout middle school & high
school and has participated in a variety of obstacle-course races for the past
8 years. He is extremely excited to be a part of the SwimLabs Team and is
ready to help you develop a passion for the sport! Alex is the Head Coach of
SlipStream Aquatics, a USA Swimming club based out of Littleton. At SSA, he
enjoys being able to help swimmers find balance in both the pool and their
other sports/activities outside of it!

I have been swimming since I can remember! I am 20 years old and I have been swimming since I was about 5 years old. I took lessons here at SwimLabs and I have since grown a love for the sport. I swam all through high school at Cherry Creek on the varsity team and went on to win the state championship my senior year. When I was 15, I started teaching lessons for my summer club swim team and loved every minute of it. I love how I can share my ability to swim with kids and teach them to grow and become stronger and faster swimmers. I cant wait to continue growing as a swim instructor and continue to help kids feel safer in the water!
