Meet the SafeSplash Madison Hospital Wellness Center Team

Kristin Stitt, Managing Partner, and Vice President of Operations at SafeSplash Huntsville-Madison, embodies a remarkable commitment to the community's well-being. For the past decade, she's championed swimming, serving as an ardent swim supporter and dedicated swim mom. Her journey led her to launch SafeSplash in Madison County, elevating opportunities for all. Kristin, holding a Doctorate in Nursing/Systems Management, boasts a career deeply rooted in healthcare. Her focus on enhancing outcomes through refined processes and evidence-based practices has been her hallmark. Alongside her husband James, a local cardiologist, Kristin shares an unwavering dedication to water safety and physical wellness in the community. Their youngest daughter, an accomplished high school student and competitive swimmer, actively contributes to the swim school's operations as the lead instructor. Together with their children Sandy, Rosemary, Monica, and Ellis, Kristin's family embodies a collective commitment to enriching lives through education, safety, and fostering physical wellness.

With 14 years of experience coaching and teaching swimming, David has worked with over 3,000 swimmers across various levels, including rec swim teams, high school teams, and competitive club teams in the Kansas City area. He has also taught both private and group lessons, with a special focus on adaptive lessons for individuals with autism. David holds a Master’s in Sport Management and a Bachelor’s in Health and Physical Education from the University of Kansas and is currently pursuing an EdD in Sports Leadership. Additionally, he has recently coached for Missouri Valley Swimming, guiding athletes at the Midwest All-Stars, Central Zones, and Future Stars Camps. David’s passion for swimming and his commitment to athlete development make him an excellent addition to our growing team.
