Seasonal Swim Camps
for Kids

Swim camps at Miller Swim School provide the perfect opportunity for kids to get a jump-start on skill development. Our swim camps span for two weeks and students meet several times during the week for 30 minutes at a time.

Whether your child’s goal is to develop foundational water safety skills, shave seconds off their race time by refining their swim stroke technique, or something in between, enrolling in a swim camp at Miller helps swimmers reach their goals faster. Swim camp groups are also small, with 4 students per instructor.

Space in our swim camps is in high demand and is therefore typically quick to fill. If you have a specific date in mind, we urge you to enroll.

The benefits of swimming camps for kids

Swimming is fun and empowering. It’s also an essential life skill that will help protect your kids around water, whether they’re playing in a kiddie pool, perfecting their cannonball technique at a backyard party, or splashing around in the ocean during a family vacation. Swimming lessons equip kids with the skills and experiences they need to be safer around water, and swim camps help them acquire those skills at a faster pace.

Swim camps make it easier for swimmers to refine through stroke technique, too. Our instructors have years of experience helping kids and adults refine their freestyle technique, backstroke technique, breaststroke technique, and butterfly stroke technique.

After swim camp, you can enroll your child in another camp, or one of our other programs. No matter which swimming program you choose, your child will learn from an experienced and enthusiastic instructor who loves teaching kids.

Swim camps vs. swimming lessons

Swim camps at Miller Swim School aren’t the same as a traditional all-day summer camp — each lesson is 30 minutes long and we meet more frequently throughout the week.

Our Water Safety Curriculum

When it comes to choosing a swim camp, we know you have plenty of options. We also know exactly what young swimmers and their families need to have the best experience possible. Our warm water pools and small class sizes help Miller Swim School stand out, but it’s our proven curriculum that ensures your child learns essential swimming skills:

  • A progressive curriculum focused on water safety, skill development, and proper swimming technique for the four fundamental swim strokes.
  • Experienced, passionate instructors who have completed extensive classroom and in-water training programs, along with a series of instructor-shadowing sessions.
  • Our commitment to match the instructor’s teaching style to the needs of each swimmer.
  • Regular updates on your swimmer’s progress through our skill tracking and progress reports.

The lesson plans we use were developed by a team of world-class swimmers. Your swimmer will learn to swim at their own pace in a learning environment that emphasizes skill retention and having fun.

Infant & Toddler Swim Lessons

Infant & Toddler Swim Lessons

Our ParentTot classes for babies 4+ months are a great way for parents to bond and socialize with their baby while teaching vital water safety skills like breath control, floating and kicking. We also offer Toddler Transition classes for toddlers ages 2-3 years. Parents join their swimmers poolside until they are ready to transition to a small group class without a parent nearby. Both classes focus on foundational water safety skills as well as developing a comfort in the water, which are crucial in developing swimming skills.

Children's Swim Lessons

Children's Swim Lessons

We offer a variety of swim lesson programs for children of all ages and levels. Whether your child is just starting to get comfortable in the water or moving on to more advanced techniques we have you covered. Our progressive curriculum starts with foundational skills in beginner level classes and develops swimmers to be advanced swimmers. We offer a variety of class types from small group classes featuring a 4:1 student to teacher ratio to semi-private and private lessons.

Adult Swim Lessons

Adult Swim Lessons

Whether you are just starting out, overcoming a fear of water or you are looking to refine your swim skills, our program gives adult swimmers at every level the opportunity to improve their skills. We offer a variety of class types for adults from small group classes to semi-private and private lessons. It’s never too late to learn this critical life skill.

Private & Semi-Private Swim Lessons

Private & Semi-Private Swim Lessons

Our private swim lessons allow swimmers of all ages and levels to progress through our curriculum at their own pace with one of our certified swim instructors. Each 30 minute class will be customized around mastering the skills to become a better, stronger, safer swimmer. Private and semi-private lessons are great options if you are looking for more time focused on your individual swimmer or siblings wanting to be in the same class.

Swim Team

Swim Team

Our swim team prep program takes swimmers who already have knowledge of the competitive swimming strokes and want to refine their swimming skills. The program includes regular weekly sessions with a set workout with an out of water coach whose primary goal is to mimic an experience one would have on a recreational swim team.  Whether you’re looking to prepare for a summer swim team, get a jump start on swim team training or just get some mileage in the water practicing stroke technique, our Swim Team program will add a dose of weekly water fun to your schedule.

Open Swim

Open Swim

Our family swim is a great time for your family to practice swimming skills outside of regular swimming lessons or to enjoy our kid and family friendly swimming pools and stay active year-round. We encourage our current swimmers and their families to utilize this time to practice water safety, improve on swim skills and socialize with other families. Our warm water indoor pools make family swimming enjoyable for all.

Swim Parties

Adaptive Aquatics

Adaptive Aquatics

Swimming is a life skill for all and it can also have tremendous therapeutic benefits. In addition to teaching water safety skills, swimming lessons can also improve balance, coordination, strength, and range of motion. At Miller Swim School we have a team of certified instructors with various training and experience in working with students with special abilities. We encourage meeting with you and your swimmer prior to starting lessons to discuss your goals and develop a customized teaching plan that meets the needs of your family.
